Assoc. Prof. Kristina Janeckova Molnarova

Landscape Ecologist, Department of Land Use and Improvement, CULS

Prof. Molnarov's research focuses on the role of farming systems on environmental values of cultural landscapes. KJM is the author or co-author of 17 peer-reviewed publications published e.g. in Land Use Policy, Environmental Management, Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment, Ecological Engineering, Applied Energy, and Journal of Environmental Psychology. She has participated in two international and several national projects, funded by National Science Foundation USA, the Czech Science Foundation, Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, and others, focusing on cultural landscapes, the role of farming in these landscapes, and methods of assessment of individual and collective values in these landscapes. In 2004 - 2005, she worked at Utah State University, USA, as a research assistant. Her other academic internships include the University of Massachussets, USA, and University of Central Lancashire, UK. KJM has given several keynote speeches at international conferences and currently acts as a reviewer for a number of peer-reviewed journals.
