Dr Bertrand Gauffre

National Institute for Researching Agriculture and Environment (INRAE)

Population biologist interested in the response of biodiversity to anthropogenic disturbances in farmlands. He currently works in the ‘Conservation Biological Control’ team at INRA-PSH.

Dr Gauffre uses different approaches including empirical analyses and computer simulation in population genetics and landscape genetics and statistical modelling of ecological data. He was involved in a long-term survey of biodiversity in farmland landscapes for 6 years (LTER ZAPVDS) and in a BiodivERsA project involving several European countries (FARMLAND).

Increasing knowledge and finding solutions to the challenges of biodiversity loss alongside farmers, citizens, value chains, government policymakers and others. We're working to ensure that biodiversity sensitive farming is valued.
