Dr Malayka Picchi

Post-doc at SSSA.

Dr Picchi graduated from the University of Turin in Conservation and Animal Biodiversity and obtain her PhD in Agrobiosciences at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (2016). Her research interests focus on applied insect ecology in olive agroecosystems and conservation biological control through spiders. She gained experience in assembling monitoring networks in wide areas and support to olive pest surveillance. She is interested in increasing knowledge in spiders’ ecology, optimizing their abundance and richness in fields to reduce pesticide applications.
