Dr Marco Beyer

Agricultural engineer with a focus on fruit science.

Dr Beyer is a doctor agriculturarum 2002, habilitation (venia legendi) in phytopathology 2009, a project leader in crop protection (since 2009), apiculture (since 2011) and viticulture (since 2014), a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Plant Pathology and of the Journal of Plant Diseases and Protection, a member of the German Scientific Society for Plant Protection and Plant Health (DPG), a laureate of the Cross Commodity Publication Award of the American Society for Horticultural Science 2003 and of the Julius Kühn-Preis of the DPG 2008. He has 60+ publications, >15 years of experience with plant pathogens, >7 years of experience with bee research. ORCID ID: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9415-4718. In FRAMEwork, MB will contribute to WP2 by providing inputs for enhancing pollination and biodiversity-sensitive crop protection in the high stem fruit orchards of the Luxembourgish farmer cluster. Furthermore, MB will make the link with the German speaking communities in close collaboration with the stakeholder and cider producer Ramborn that represents the value chain for the local farmer cluster.
