Francois Warlop
François Warlop is Agronomist and Experimenter in Arboriculture at GRAB, Avignon, France.
François is an agronomist specialized in fruit trees and organic farming. He has been working at GRAB since 1998 and has participated in many national/european projects dealing with functional biodiversity, agroforestry, low-input farming systems... He's currently in charge of several projects dealing with fruit agroforestry such as the Durette project. He also has a broad experience on pest control for organic farming for mediterranean fruit species such as almond, cherry, peach or olive. He specializes in organic fruit production, agroforestry systems combining fruit trees with market gardening, and functional biodiversity management. His work develops practical, ecologically-sound solutions for sustainable farming, bridging research with farmer practice across Europe.
