Julie Borg
Julie Borg is Research Engineer at INRAE PSH Avignon, France, specializing in integrated horticultural production systems design. Her work focuses on agroecological transitions, combining model-based design methods with participatory approaches involving farmers and stakeholders.
Mz Borg works on the design of integrated horticultural production systems by combining model-based design methods (with the team modellers) and prototyping methods (with experts from research, technical institutes, experimental stations and with producers). She also contributes to characterise the decision rules of growers for orchard management and she analyses agronomic performances of these orchards. She is a Research Engineer at INRAE's Plants and Horticultural Cropping Systems unit in Avignon, France. With a Master's from Montpellier SupAgro, she specializes in designing low-input horticultural systems, particularly peach orchards and wheat cultivar mixtures. Her research combines participatory design methods, biodiversity integration, and multi-criteria performance assessment to support agroecological transitions in farming.
