Project launches substack publication to continue dissemination through 2026

We're pleased to announce the launch of Foodlands, a free weekly newsletter on Substack. The publication shares stories recorded during the course of the project with people trying to improve life in our food system across Europe and beyond! It's interview-led journalism that puts real on-the-ground voices at the centre of the conversation.

Why is This Important?

Biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation are accelerating, and our food system is a major driver. But it's also where some of the most promising solutions are emerging. Foodlands digs into these stories with curiosity rather than doom.

Many projects don't plan for legacy dissemination, and end up with valuable knowledge exchange content left on the table. As one of a minority of H2020 projects funded for half a decade, and with a curated legacy offer centred around our Info Hub Recodo, this Substack sits within the project's dynamic legacy strategy.

The newsletter is produced by Taskscape, the project's knowledge exchange partner, with contributions from a talented team of writers, journalists and early-career researchers. Foodlands goes out to over 500 subscribers already signed up to the project, and serves as a lasting home for the experiential content captured during the project's lifetime.

While editorially independent in order to share diverse perspectives, Foodlands reflects the FRAMEwork project's commitment to breaking down siloes, building trust between stakeholders, and taking practical approaches to farming with nature seriously. It's your chance to hear from project participants and external experts we've engaged with in their own words.
