TF has led and leads/co-leads many national and international research projects, e.g. funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW), Austrian Ministries, and the EU. He worked for eleven years at the University of Bern, Switzerland. He currently supervises three PhD students and co-supervises two PhD students, and has been reviewer for about 35 scientific journals. University in northwest Germany renowned for its research and teaching in the areas of Humanities, Social Sciences, Science, Law, Business and Economics. < Back The University of Osnabrück University in northwest Germany renowned for its research and teaching in the areas of Humanities, Social Sciences, Science, Law, Business and Economics. UOS combines different scientific disciplines in research and teaching. Thinking beyond the borders of individual fields of expertise is fostered in a number of interdisciplinary institutes, of which the Institute of Environmental Systems Research (IUSF) is one. Changes in environmental systems, problems ensuing from these changes and their solutions are the focus of the activities of the IUSF, understanding environmental systems as dynamic interplay between nature and society. IUSF’s mission is to develop the knowledge base for understanding, assessing and transforming concrete environmental systems. IN FRAMEWORK UOS will lead on increasing understanding of farmers’ knowledge and behaviour with respect to agro-biodiversity management and to develop private and public incentives to foster farmer's delivery of agro-biodiversity as a public good, making use of the Farmer Cluster approach. Julie Borg is Research Engineer at INRAE PSH Avignon, France, specializing in integrated horticultural production systems design. Her work focuses on agroecological transitions, combining model-based design methods with participatory approaches involving farmers and stakeholders. < Back Julie Borg Julie Borg is Research Engineer at INRAE PSH Avignon, France, specializing in integrated horticultural production systems design. Her work focuses on agroecological transitions, combining model-based design methods with participatory approaches involving farmers and stakeholders. Mz Borg works on the design of integrated horticultural production systems by combining model-based design methods (with the team modellers) and prototyping methods (with experts from research, technical institutes, experimental stations and with producers). She also contributes to characterise the decision rules of growers for orchard management and she analyses agronomic performances of these orchards. She is a Research Engineer at INRAE's Plants and Horticultural Cropping Systems unit in Avignon, France. With a Master's from Montpellier SupAgro, she specializes in designing low-input horticultural systems, particularly peach orchards and wheat cultivar mixtures. Her research combines participatory design methods, biodiversity integration, and multi-criteria performance assessment to support agroecological transitions in farming. Assistant Professor in Agronomy and Field Crops at SSSA. < Back Dr Anna Camilla Moonen Assistant Professor in Agronomy and Field Crops at SSSA. Dr Moonen graduated from the Wageningen University and obtained her PhD at the University of Pisa, Italy (2004). She works on vegetation management of field margins, the use of cover crops to manage weed communities, the management of functional agrobiodiversity in arable and horticultural cropping systems, and (co)designs innovative strategies for sustainable weed and pest management. She has ample experience in leading WPs and tasks in European projects, and she is used to perform research in a participatory environment in close collaboration with stakeholders and end- users. CM organised interactive teaching courses and summer schools (e.g., 4 ENDURE summer schools). She is active member of EWRS, frequently reviews papers and project proposals and is a subject editor of Weed Research. She (co-)authored 26 publications in peer reviewed journals and has 60 publications in books and conference proceedings (h-index: 16).
